Harry Exner was seeking employment after losing his job as a tire salesman. Harry went looking for work at Johnson Tire Service and, as things developed, found much more than a job here. He became owner, taking over the existing Johnson Tire Service in 1960.

Family immediately became a key to the business and it still is. Harry always made it a family effort to get everything from paperwork to cleaning the stop done.

Bob, Harry’s son, took the paperwork and cleaning a bit further and took over the business in 2007. Bob is still running the business, but, like Harry, he involved his family. Bob’s son Jake now works in the business.

Johnson Tire & Service is more than a family business. Many employees have been with the company more than 30 years.
